Years ago, communications with family and friends could take days, weeks and even months. Technology has made this process easy today. While you can call friends and loved ones from your phone, send them text or email at any time, more intriguing, is the ability to call them and see them live like you would when talking to a friend one-on-one. This is called a video call.

Video call has been around for sometime, but quite expensive to make. 

It became easier to make video calls when services like Skype came onboard. It is even able to make conference calls and hold meetings with groups of person today from anywhere you are.

This is what services like Zoom, Google Meet, et al are for.

Making video calls on WhatsApp is quite easy, but you may not know if you are not told.

This post is meant to show you exactly how you can make a video call from WhatsApp.

To make a video call on WhatsApp, first open your WhatsApp application.

Click the contact/number/name of the person you'll like to make a video call to.

Look at the top of your screen towards the right. You'll see two icons. One that resembles a phone dialer, and the other one resembles a video camera.

Click the second icon from the right (the one that resembles a video camera).




That is all. Now you'll be connected to make a video call with this contact.

You can make video calls to saved and unsaved contacts. Just follow the above procedure to make a video call to a saved or an unsaved contact.
